As an Executive Chef at Canada's top steakhouses for over 40 years, Strates Rigakos researched and developed methods to make steaks, chops, ribs, roasts, seafood and chicken savoury and mouth-watering for discerning steak house patrons. From aging methods, to product sourcing and seasoning, no stone was left unturned in his quests to plate the perfect steak.
A PERSONAL PASSION
Post retirement, Chef Strates' passion for developing seasonings and rubs continued. He tinkered with new and established recipes, balancing spices, salts and unique ingredients in search of that optimal blend. A blend that makes everything grilled, cooked or fried mouthwatering.
SHARING WITH PRIDE
For years, out of pride, Strates gifted his perfect balance of spices and salts to family and friends, who in turn shared with their family and friends. Referrals and word of mouth drove overwhelming demand to the point where it was no longer feasible for Strates to just simply give his spices away. Begrudgingly, Strates agreed to make a batch for sale which, to no one's surprise, sold out the very next day. Still made with pride in small batches, Strates Grilling Spices are now available for everyone to enjoy.
